The Department of Environmental Conservation has recently announced the launch of the New York Green Business program (http://www.governor.ny.gov/news/governor-cuomo-launches-new-york-green-business-program). NYGB provides recognition and benefits to businesses that have a strong commitment to sustainability. The program is free and voluntary to participate in. Benefits of membership include recognition from the State for your achievements, ability to use the program logo to market yourself as a sustainability leader, priority access to technical assistance from the Pollution Prevention Institute at RIT, and acccess to a statewide network of green business leaders.
